Luxury car catches fire at University of Ghana
On the breezy Monday morning of March 6th, 2023, an unexpected event shook the University of Ghana campus. The air was filled with excitement and a hint of gasoline as a few students gathered around the Jean Nelson Ackah Hall for what seemed to be a car exhibition. Suddenly, the silence was interrupted by the loud revving of an engine.
All eyes were on the Ford Mustang that stood at the center of the forecourt. The driver seemed to be showing off the car's horsepower to the onlookers. However, the situation quickly turned into chaos as the car caught fire. It was a terrifying sight as the flames started to spread rapidly.
Panic-stricken bystanders began to run off, shouting for help, while the car continued to burn. In a matter of seconds, it became clear that the fire was out of control. The onlookers were helpless, and the car seemed to be engulfed in flames.
However, after almost a minute of burning, two courageous males appeared on the scene with extinguishers and managed to put out the flames. The luxury car was then towed away, as captured in videos that circulated on social media.
The driver's condition after the incident is unknown, and it is unclear what caused the car to catch fire. The incident has sparked a debate about the safety measures that need to be put in place during such events to prevent such occurrences from happening again.
